What are the new financial requirements for Nigerians seeking a student visa in the United Kingdom?
To obtain a student visa, international students must show they have enough funds to cover their living expenses for up to 9 months. The requirements vary depending on whether they are studying in London or elsewhere in the United Kingdom.
Students studying in London will be required to produce evidence of having around £1,483 per month, up from £1,334 previously, representing an 11.2% rise.
What about students who are studying outside London?
Any students studying outside London must now verify that they have £1,136 per month, up from £1,023 previously, indicating an 11.1% increase.

The pharmacist who applauded the president for the waiver of customs duty through an executive order, says they have conceived a giant project, the Nigerian Academy of Pharmacy Innovation Center which is to be a world-class research laboratory that will ensure drugs manufactured in Nigeria are safe.
But the pharmacist says that cannot be achieved without the support of the government and well-meaning Nigerians.
This is a multi-billion project because such a lab with the structure and equipment will be expensive to finance today, but it’s a necessity; no country can grow without such laboratory service.
