But to be considered for a Master Card Foundation scholarship at McGill, you must first apply for the scholarship before applying for admission. Only after you have been successfully pre-screened by the MasterCard Foundation team will you be invited to apply for admission to your preferred program.

      This is the step-by-step guide to follow

STEP ONE:

You need to find out if you’re eligible for any of the 11 non-thesis programs that are available to you. These programs include biotechnology, biostatistics, Public Health, public policy, animal science, food science, bi-resource engineering, and human nutrition.

with this, your undergraduate should be closely related to the potential postgraduate degree,

the general admission requirements are a 2.1-degree class and above, but your program may have slightly different entry requirements.

Be sure to check your departmental website or maybe even email the department before you start your application, so that you’re completely confident in your application.

It would be best if you were from one of the eligible countries and these include South Africa, Eswatini, Zimbabwe, Uganda, Nigeria, Mozambique, Somalia,  Namibia, Malawi, Guinea, Ethiopia, Botswana, Angola, the DRC, Central African Republic, and many more. if your country is not being mentioned here, go ahead and check on the website, the link to the website is on this page.  

    2. The second requirement is that you have never registered for or completed a master’s degree.

    3.You must have a valid passport.

    4. You must have a track record of service leadership and involvement in your school or community. For example, it may be volunteer work, outreach groups or societies at your former university, or anything that demonstrates your commitment to your community or at your previous university or college.

    5. Then the last one, you need to be less than 35 years old at the time of your application.

    STEP TWO:

    Fill out the MasterCard Foundation program application form.

    When the application period begins, this form will be available on the McGill MasterCard Foundation scholarship web page.

    This application form is what they’ll use to pre-screen you for the scholarship.

    STEP THREE:

     finally, once your application is successfully pre-screened, you can then proceed to apply for admission to the university.

    As a successfully pre-screened applicant, you will receive an application fee waiver which is fantastic and detailed information on how to apply for admission, so that you get help from the MasterCard Foundation team on applying for admission to McGill.

    Fully funded Master scholarships that are available for African students to apply in the 2024-2025 application season

    The Master Card Foundation scholarships are completely financed and focused on Young Africans aged 35 and below, so if you’re 35 in January of the year that you apply, you’re eligible to apply for this one.

        The good news about this scholarship is that certain universities will disregard the IELTS requirement if you can demonstrate that you completed your undergraduate degree in English.

        Mastermind scholarships, These Mastermind scholarships are available for study at various universities in Belgium.

        1. You will need to have a GPA of at least 3.5 on a scale of on a GPA scale of 4 about 2.1-degree class and above,
        2. Need to have a 7 on the IELTS.
        3. All African countries are eligible

        ARES-B elgique scholarships, the deadline for this one is close, If you are interested in this scholarship, apply as soon as possible. This year’s application deadline is October 18, 2024.

          You must be from one of the 31 partner nations and have at least two years of work experience in one of the African countries.

          The eligible countries are Zimbabwe, Tunisia Tanzania, Senegal, Rwanda, the DRC, Uganda, Niger Mozambique, Morocco, Mali, Madagascar, Kenya, Guinea, Ethiopia, Cameroon, Burundi, Burkina Faso, Benin, and South Africa.

          Let’s look at several scholarships in Finland; they aren’t always fully funded, but they can help you save a lot of money if you get one.

          We have two scholarships from Finland.

          The University of Olu and another from the University of Tamp. Both universities have no application fees, and international students are eligible for tuition waivers ranging from 50% to 100%.

          Keep in mind that you may need to score at least 6.5 on the IELTS.

           You do not need to submit a separate application for these scholarships, which is fantastic; simply apply for whichever program you are interested in, and your offer letter will inform you whether you have been awarded a scholarship and what portion of your tuition it covers.

          Tamp accepts applications for a 2 or 3-week period in December, while Olu accepts applications for two weeks in early January.

          Please pay close attention to the deadlines of this scholarship.

          One thing about the applications to universities in Finland is that they’re very simple and very straightforward.
