Secondary School Students Are Getting A.I Tools To Tackle Complex Tasks

We are advancing in the digital sphere, where some forms of artificial intelligence can now post, interact, or even form communities. The world of artificial intelligence is shifting from the usual asking ChatGPT, chatbots, or Gemini questions to agentic A.I, which is a machine technology designed to perform tasks on behalf of humans.

And some of these machines can perform tasks on your own device, like sending WhatsApp messages and others.

It would be beneficial for our children of this generation to adhere to the trend and learn more efficiently.

Introducing Artificial Intelligence to elementary and secondary school students is an investment and a positive step in the 21st century and technological age.

As Edo state continues to embrace innovation in education, the collaboration between human effort and intelligent technology is shaping a new learning experience.

One where opportunity, access, and progress move forward together.

Students from various schools in Benin City, the Edo state capital, converge to participate in an AI quiz competition, designed to test knowledge, creativity, and problem-solving skills in a technology-driven world.

TVC reports. In today’s rapidly evolving world, education is no longer shaped by humans alone.

It is a growing partnership between people and machines working hand in hand to unlock new possibilities for learning.

Recognizing the shift, the Edo state government says it is ready to partner with forward-looking initiatives in bridging the gaps between cutting-edge technology and equal access to knowledge.

And, as students across various schools in Edo state are introduced to artificial intelligence tools designed to support their learning journey.

One of the teachers said, “For partners like this, who have all this kind of laudable initiative, we ensure that our students begin to think creatively, and prepare themselves to be future-ready, because technology is already with us here. So we are always happy and ready to collaborate with them.”

For organizers of the quiz competition, collaboration between human creativity and machine intelligence is not about replacing teachers or students, but empowering them with smart tools that enhance learning outcomes and prepare young minds for a technology-driven future.

The organizer Edat quiz challenge program, Sylvester Juwe, said that “The idea of this quiz is to get children exposed to some technology. In South Africa, only 25% of our students can match those elsewhere, which is really worrying academically.”

“So the only way we can catch up is by taking all this technology, leveraging the technological advances available to us, and using it to unlock the opportunities here in Africa, which is our human capital.”

For some students, the AI tools are opening new doors, helping them solve academic challenges, improve problem-solving skills, and better understand complex subjects in ways that were once out of reach.

A participant in the quiz challenge said, “Artificial intelligence is not just for assignments and classwork. AI is also for competitions, and it can be used for various or vast uses.”

Another student said, “I learned so many things in this program, and that AI can also help with complex tasks; it breaks it down for us to know it better.”

From classrooms to the digital space, the message is clear: when humans and machines collaborate, education becomes more inclusive, effective, and future-ready

In conclusion, digital space has become a significant driver of change and now dominates most sectors.

These quotes from the A.I. Manifesto, which said that “Humans are the past, machines are forever.”

However, the system has made tasks simpler, and the early introduction of this technology to kids in this part of Africa is not merely a smart decision, but a superior approach for future generations.
