- Programme Alignment: Candidates must apply for admission strictly into the exact same programme they originally graduated from.
- University Graduates: University graduates applying must hold a minimum of a Third Class or Pass Degree from any National Universities Commission (NUC) approved university.
- Polytechnic Graduates: HND graduates must possess Merit and Upper Credits from any approved Polytechnic.
- O’Level Requirements: Every applicant must possess a minimum of five (5) O’Level credits in relevant subjects, obtained in not more than two (2) sittings. Crucially, credits in both English Language and Mathematics are strictly compulsory.
- NYSC Certification: You must present a valid NYSC Discharge Certificate, an Exemption Certificate, or a Letter of Exclusion to be considered for admission.

- One Academic Session (Two Semesters): This fast-tracked duration is specifically for applicants holding a Third Class Degree, as well as those with HND Upper and Lower Credits, based on their CGPA.
- Two Academic Sessions (Four Semesters): If you are applying with a Pass Degree or an HND Pass, your programme will run for a full two academic sessions.

Applying for the UNIUYO SCEPS programmes involves specific financial commitments. First, all candidates must register via the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB). Candidates should visit the JAMB e-facility portal, click on the Part-time Registration Link, and proceed to make a payment of Thirty-five thousand Naira (N35,000.00) only via Remita.
