The 33 Years Reunion Of Military Students

The Military Students’ 33-Year Reunion, these was another chance to highlight the diversity within Nigeria’s unity.

For 33 years, the chairman of the 1992 set, a group of former students of the Nigeria military school MMS Zaria, had been meeting annually for a reunion of ideas, a lively discussion, and a celebration to strengthen ties and promote unity.

The chairman of established 33 Alumina Nigeria military school in Zaria, ALIKO MOHAMMED, stated that the school’s specific goals are to uphold and improve the standards of our Aluimini, the Nigerian military school, while simultaneously monitoring and fostering love, unity, care, welfare, and member empowerment.

That of society at large, and with God’s grace, once more, Your Excellency, we are adhering to that goal.

We honor the phrase “brotherhood in diversity” as our motto.

The chairman also took the opportunity during the event to read out all of the student accomplishments, including life insurance coverage for every one of its members.

According to ALIKO, everyone on the 33rd personal platoon those present and those absent is now protected by a group life insurance policy.

This policy provides reasonable coverage for every one of our members in the event of death or permanent disability.

We are grateful to those who started this policy and that it can now be carried out.

Bolaji Gambari, the chief host, emphasized the value of the annual meeting while welcoming his colleagues to a reception hosted at the banquet hall in Ilorin.

I’m Omar Bolaji Gambari, a native of Ilorin, and I’m the main host of the Ilorin 2023 gathering. I’m here to celebrate 33 years since we left that excellent institution and moved all across the country.

What purposes do the 33 Years Reunion Of Military Students get together for?

A get-together of former Nigerian military students can serve several purposes, such as:

 1. Encouragement of patriotism: Old military students might be encouraged to participate in reunions as a means of fostering national integration, unity, and patriotism. This is particularly true in Nigeria, where there are notable ethnic and religious differences.

 2. Reconnecting: It gives former military comrades a chance to get back in touch with one another and deepen their relationships. It strengthens their unity, mutual trust, and sense of brotherhood.

 3. Celebrating successes: Alumni reunions can serve as a platform for recognizing past military students’ accomplishments, particularly those who have gone on to achieve professional success or made noteworthy contributions to this nation.

 4. Memories and camaraderie: Alumni of military schools can talk about their common experiences and build friendliness among themselves through reunions. It facilitates the restoration of the former military students’ unit identity and friendship.

5. Fostering charitable endeavors: Reunions can also offer a chance to give back to the local community. Using their networks and resources, former military personnel might get involved in charitable endeavors that benefit their university or the area in which they work.

Things can get better, but I have unwavering faith and hope in Nigerians, so no matter how difficult things get for us, we will persevere.

This is my home, and we came to see Baba the Emir, his Royal Highness Ibrahim Sulu Gambari CFR. We can’t be in Ilorin and not come and show our presence and ask for his blessing on our association and our activities in the Ilorin.

To get up in the morning and try to do our best,

No matter what situation we find ourselves in.

According to the emir of Ilorin, Ibrahim Suluma Gambari, “I thought you were going to come with people or something.” He states that on behalf of the traditional ruler of Kwara State, he employed you and promised to give you 100% in whatever endeavor you desire.

As you can see, I find it joyful and satisfying that God would lead us all and that we have people and resources in Nigeria to tap into.

The governor of Kwara State, Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRaza, addressed the need for unity in the nation as expressed by the 33rd alumni of the Nigerian Military School, with the assistance of retired Brigadier General S.T. Bello, a former student of the school.

Since our childhood in military school, we just have friends, we just have brothers, our high wives just have sisters, and we hardly ask where anybody comes from in Nigeria.

it takes a long time before you realize somebody is not from your state or he’s not speaking the same language with you, that is what people always hope for Nigeria.

With that type of mindset, honestly Nigeria will be of the aspirations of every Nigerians.

The High points of the gathering, was the presentation of awards to some members for their outstanding contributions, as well as a cutting of anniversary cakes by all set members and their spouses.
